| | | About Derek Braid
Derek has been a photographic enthusiast since he first experienced the thrill of developing and printing pictures in his school darkroom in Edinburgh. Over many years, he perfected his hobby, and in addition to spending many hours in the darkroom processing black and white photographs, he took thousands of 35mm slides and contributed to a Picture Library in Edinburgh. He also started writing illustrated features.
Derek was an early adopter of digital technology and has a extensive collection of high quality digital images. In 2001, Derek started taking Panoramic Photographs using digital techniques, and he has immersed himself in capturing the photographs displayed on this web site.
Derek lives in the small coastal town of North Berwick, East Lothian with his wife Ann and his Cocker Spaniel ‘Sparky’ and Siamese Cat 'Teazel'. |
